A Prayerful Rendition Of 'Asher Malach' By The Chazzan Yitzchak Meir Helfgott
This recording appears to be taken during the Shabbat Prayers. I don't recognise the choir, and in my humble opinion the performance is harsh and lacking in harmony. I find it difficult to understand why the Chazzan Helfgott begins the piece on a scale even higher than Kosavitzky, who places his first note on E.
However, it seems as though nothing is too difficult for Helfgott. Although it appears the recording was made on Shabbat, I am reluctant to pass judgement on those who nevertheless choose to listen to it, as I am not a Rabbi, and am thus unqualified to do so.
