The answer to your question according to me is: it would be no emuna problem if you would insist that hashem made it in a certain system
But in hashem's torah it is described in generous detail how hashem made the world in six days- the trees and fish and men. So it would be a problem in torah
First it says clearly that hashem made fish and birds and reptiles separately- not that one thing came from another
Two, six days are six days- not 408,487,910,587 (more or less) years

ani_li you nailed it on the bosor vcholov that tzigele cant bring anything from there (althogh tzigele and the goat ("GDI") there are first cousins....) but he can still speculate that it is so without proof
now tzigele my freind, after every day of the six it says "and it was day and it was night the first day" "and it was day and it was night the second day" so hashem stresses that it was a single day
also, it clearly says that hashem created birds, and created fish, and created animals- seperate creations. nothing was popcorned out of something else

By the way we here dicuss how evolution stacks up with torah
We can also discuss how it goes with emunah in hashem - as of now i think that it is no
problem with emunah if we would say that hashem created the world in evolution
We can discuss how it works scientificaly
Here we started to discuss it from the torah angle, and I am glad we are on track
P.S. somebody asked me: aren't torah and emunah two ends of the same stick? my initial answer was that we want to know exactly which end
