Guitar Soulo, Singolda and Yeedel
Avi Singolda Plays Yeedel
It's a pretty catchy title! And by reading it you might think that Singolda was looking to make an album, and he decided to play Yeedel's songs, somehow I don't think so.
The cover of the album is terrific! The pictures are great, but it looks like Singolda was playing for a different tape at the time they were taking these photos 'cause if you look at the picture of the chord chart that he was reading the name of the song is ''Ein Anachnu'' and there is no song with that title on this album.
The album is actually pretty good, a little boring, sometimes it sounds like something you hear when you are put on hold, and sometimes it's great.
Singolda uses an interesting variety of music styles, Latin, Flamenco, etc.
He also uses an accordion in some of the songs, sorta like JJ used on his 100% album.
The mixing is terrific on this album, if you have time sit down and listen to how the panning (making the sound come out of the right speaker, or left speaker) was done. I think it was done very, very well.
My opinion of the CD overall is, It's pretty good, definitely worth buying.

Hmmmm, Yeedel did indeed produce,, but if you look at who the
engineers are it's Ilya Lishinsky, and Yossi Tyberg. Engineers
are very picky people, they like to mix their own way and style
Yeedel might have given them enough time to do what they thought
needed to be done, but as far as Yeedel's ear goes, Hmmmmmmmmm..............

Over all a good album but too much singolda. He's the king but he needs a president to guide him other wise he repeats his licks and shticks over and over I feel it's a little over kill. The rhythm on V'havay is prety bad I think.

Emor me'at the drums are prety bad
and it's just too much SINGOLDA too much of even the greatest is no good

Very nice, I like, the only thing I would change is the triplet in measure 1 and the two snare hits in measure 2 it looks to me a bit "rap'ish" so changing the triplet , and the snare a little gives it a .smoother sound
