Vaccination Of Birds Kashras Problem

Kashras Problem On The Horizon, With The Vaccination Of Birds Against The Deadly Bird Flu Virus

Paris - A in Paris raised the question that the vaccination of birds against the deadly avian flu virus might not be kosher.
Rabbi Simon Dahan, a member of Paris' Beth Din, said that the European Commission approval of French and Dutch plans to vaccinate millions of their poultry against bird flu, might cause a problem in regard to kashrus.

''If they conduct the vaccination on the lungs or the neck, the animal might not be kosher anymore,'' Dahan said.
