Saturday July 22 at 9:30pm, NORPAC is pleased to sponsor a fundraising event for Senator Joe Lieberman (D-CT) at the home of Giti & Jack Bendheim 697 West 247th Street, Riverdale, NY.
Senator Lieberman is running for his fourth term in the US Senate. He is respected by his colleagues in both parties as a legislator of principle, morality, and honor.
When Joe Lieberman calls a fellow Senator and asks for support on legislation, he usually gets it. On the issue of US-Israel relations, Lieberman is committed to the strongest relationship. He has been a lion for support on this issue, frequently working behind the scenes to facilitate passage of this important agenda in the Senate. Fortunately, the Senate today is a receptive audience for such issues.
Senator Lieberman has always been a centrist Democrat. Like other centrists around the country, he is very popular in his state among the general public. But he has been targeted by the MoveOn.org national movement and is in the race for his political life in the August Democratic Primary, where the extremes of the parties tend to dominate. Senator Lieberman needs and deserves our help.
Please either come to this event, mail your donation written to ''Friends of Joe Lieberman'' to NORPAC, PO Box 5595, Englewood, NJ 07631 as soon as possible, or donate over the phone by credit card at 201 788 5133.
