Kiryas Joel, NY - KJFD on the scene at 9 Berditchev Court for 3 storage rooms of the Kiryas Joel Boys Yeshiva School, that's fully engulfed in fire from the work of a welding comany.
Fire command on scene requesting a third-alarm to the 2 story dormitory building, Woodbury, Harriman, Monroe, Sailsbury are all responding to the scene. Students being evacuated at this time.

באריכט פון 'רעקארד'
A room fire sent smoke through a dormitory of a rabbinical college in the Village of Kiryas Joel Tuesday. Nobody was injured in the blaze, which started around 4 p.m., while the 800-or-so young men at the school were in classes.
Firefighters from the village knocked down the blaze quickly and shattered windows in the dormitory, located on Berdichev Drive, to prevent further smoke damage to the facility, officials at the scene said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but several officials on scene said that welders had been working inside the building, when the fire broke out
