Region gets millions in affordable housing funding
Agencies in the Hudson Valley will receive millions in state and federal funding, loans and tax credit for development, rehabilitation and home buyer assistance.
The funds are a combination of low interest loans and grants and federal and state low income tax credits.
In Dutchess County, Church Alliance of Millbrook Housing Development will receive a total of $700,000 for 12 housing units. Hudson River Housing will receive $1.3 million for 52 units in two separate projects and the Kearney Realty and Development Group will receive $2 million for 49 units.
In Greene County, Catskill Mountain HDC will receive $440,000 for 35 units in two separate projects.
In Orange County, Kiryas Joel Community HD Organization will receive $500,000 for 54 units. Loewen Development will receive $2.8 million for 100 units. Newburgh Housing Authority Outreach Development will receive $1.4 million for 34 units. Park Hill Housing, LLC will receive $520,000 for 75 units and Recap will receive $500,000 for 16 units.
In Putnam County, Putnam County Housing Corporation will receive $480,000 for 40 units in two projects.
In Rockland County, the Rockland Housing Action Coalition will receive $540,000 for 10 units. The Village of Spring Valley will get $40,000 for 12 units.
In Sullivan County, Regan Development will receive $2.2 million for 49 units and regency Manor Limited Partnership will receive $2.6 million for 76 units.
In Ulster County, Golden View, LLC will receive $2.2 million for 51 units. Rural Ulster Preservation Company will receive $2.7 million for 82 units in two projects. Shandaken Revitalization Plan Committee will receive $500,000 for 30 units.
In Westchester County, the City of White Plains will receive $40,000 or 100 units. The County of Westchester Department of Planning will receive $40,000 for 10 units. Community Housing Innovations will get $500,000 for 16 units. Grace Towers Housing, LI, LLC will receive $2 million for 79 units and Grace Towers LLC will receive $2.7 million for 55 units. Human Development Services of Westchester will get $200,000 for 18 units and Westchester County Management Group will receive $2.1 million for 65 units.
