November 6, 2004 -- A man who torched a Brooklyn building last year for $100 — leaving nearly 100 people, including eight Hasidic families, homeless on the eve of Yom Kippur — has copped a plea for one to three years behind bars.
In his deal in state Supreme Court, William Jones entered his plea to the least serious arson charge.
The DA's Office objected, asking that Jones serve five to 15 years. Denise Buffa
