WILLIAMSBURG — Another 14 luxury condo units are on the market in Williamsburg. The units are in a 1920s industrial building, now named the Broadway Riverview, at 20 Broadway, corner of Kent Avenue.
Completion and a grand opening are set for January 13, according to David Maundrell of aptsandlofts.com, who is exclusively handling sales for the building.
A project of developers Louis Silverman of Broadway Riverview LLC and Thom Virzi of East Coast Construction Co., the conversion was designed by Kutnicki Bernstein Architects, based in SoHo.
It is one of the smallest and most intimate buildings along Broadway, according to Maundrell, who said it was originally built as a hotel.
''The building maintains its original brick façade but is all new inside,'' he said, adding that it offers generous room sizes and ceiling heights.
There are 12 loft condominiums plus two penthouses and two retail/commercial spaces at street level.
Ranging in size from 950 to 1,300 square feet, the apartments are a mix of eight two-bedroom units and four one-bedroom units.
Pricing will begin in the $500,000 range for a one-bedroom Prices for the penthouses are expected to be in excess of $1 million.
Other amenities include a new lobby, new elevator, and individually keyed storage rooms in the basement.
Unit amenities include wide strip oak flooring, kitchens with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances; bathrooms with slate walls and light-reflecting glass mosaic tiles.
Most units will have outdoor space, including garden patios and rooftop terraces, and most will have views of the East River, Williamsburg Bridge and the Manhattan skyline.
Located only a half block from the East River, Broadway Riverview is ''at the epicenter of Williamsburg's cultural center and nightlife,'' according to Maundrell. Residents will be literally steps from avant-garde art galleries and one of the city's best steakhouses, Peter Luger's.
Maundrell is also handling the two retail/commercial spaces.
''The ground floor commercial spaces would be great for a wine store and a gallery,'' he said.
