Sorry, but my Hebrew keyboard is not working so I have to write in English.
We did not want to post anything on Chol Hamoed, but we are actively perusing our dream of a real Heimishe Chasidishe Yishev in the mountains. I know it is already four weeks, but we still need some more time here.
For all of you who send me a message in ''Teves Ishi'', I could not answer to all of you, but I did reply to some of you. Still, if you have any questions, please feel free to write to me. I can't promise that I will answer but I will try.
Please do understand that we have to work with builders and local government and sometimes ''Hashtike Yufe'' for the time being.
Some points we already discussed before:
• We will start with at least 200 families.
• We will have a Cheder, Girls School, Mikve, and a respected Ruv to lead this new Kehila from day one.
• We are looking at this point (for the first 100 families) ''ONLY'' for people who don't have to travel to NYC for their jobs or business. If you can move your business to Middletown or some other nearby industrial town this is for you. If you are in Kollel anyway (let's assume you have a rich Schver and you want to learn for the next 10 years), then this is for you.
• If you are nearing retirement age and want to enjoy your golden years in a setting of an old time ''Shtetel'', then this is for you.
• We will try to have a balanced crowd for ''Bnei Torah'' and erliche Baly Batim.
• Our goal is to have the area grow just like Monsey did. Once we will be there, others will follow, more Rabunim with likely move and open Shul's ETC. But we do not want to change any existing rules or zoning. We want this to remain a country setting. For example, if the local building ordinance calls for one family house per acre, we will not try to change it to be able to built two homes per acre.
Our goal is both:
Affordable hosing and living standards
''AND'' a normal peaceful ''Erliche Heimishe Chasidiseh Yidishe'' lifestyle.
Since Hydepark lately is much politicized and there is a lot of Lushen Hora R''L, we might cease communicating on this portal. In the meantime, you can feel free to ask me questions in ''Ishi''. Please don't send me stupid thoughts or comments. Neither try to explain me why this can not work out. Those are dead (deleted) upon arrival in my inbox.
