Short thought- pieces and expressions from wise people have nice way of touching a special place inside many people
Maybe it is because we don't have to think about them and we just get the message
Speakers, authors, writers and regular Joes use them all the time to bring out something without need to go in at length- like--- can't think of an example

And we can begin our own collection of them here, and enjoy the added benefit of discussing the sayings and taking them apart- because some of them are not true
Two examples of famous quotes that are not true: ''sticks and stones will break my bones but words will not hurt me'', because words hurt more- and '' opposites attract'' because differences are not what build relationships
And just as we can bring up ''good ones'' we can bring up the false ones and prove them wrong and help the world
I would suggest crediting the source (the name should suffice) when available
