Police charged one man yesterday in a Brooklyn home invasion in which a real estate broker and his wife were robbed of $200,000 in cash and jewelry.
Joseph Fiel, 30, of Gravesend, was charged with robbery and criminal possession of a weapon. Two accomplices are being sought, police said.
Police said two suspects slipped into Wolf Sicherman's 54th Street home in Borough Park Monday night.
Sicherman, 58, and his wife, Sarah, 57, encountered the men, who were wearing ski masks and armed with box cutters. The suspects tied up Sicherman and forced his wife to open a safe before tying her up.
The thieves made off with the cash and jewelry, fleeing in a white sport utility vehicle driven by a third man.
Neither of the Sichermans was hurt.
A witness gave police the license plate number of the SUV. Police tracked the car to Fiel's mother, then located Fiel on Tuesday and arrested him, police said.
It was not clear yesterday what role Fiel allegedly played. Fiel refused to talk, police said.
Police believe the suspects could have been tipped off by contractors who recently did work inside the home. Detectives have not ruled out the possibility the home was targeted because of its appearance.

September 28, 2006 -- A 30-year-old Brooklyn man was awaiting arraignment last night on charges of breaking into the home of a Borough Park couple, tying them up, and fleeing with more than $200,000 in cash and jewels.
Cops nabbed Joseph Fiel Tuesday only after tracing the getaway vehicle, a GMC Yukon, to the burglar's mother, police said.
Authorities yesterday were seeking two other accomplices in the caper.
Fiel and another masked man were wearing ski masks Monday night when they allegedly broke into the home of real-estate investor Wolf Sicherman and his wife, Sarah, while wielding boxcutters.
The couple was then tied with duct tape to a chair in the living room. Before fleeing, the robbers thanked the wife for being "so nice," according to police sources.

Police Arrest One in Connection With Home Invasion Robbery
 The police have charged one of three men involved in a Borough Park home invasion robbery. A pair of robbers had entered Wolf and Sarah Sicherman's home through a back window on Monday night. They cut the electricity, tied the couple up (threatening them with boxcutters), and made Wolf Sicherman open up his safe. The safe had not only jewelry but cash, because Sicherman was going to buy an apartment building the next day, and the robbers got away with over $200,000. But not before thanking Sarah Sicherman for being so nice during the robbery. Were they trying to be the "Thank You" robbers?
A neighbor had written the getaway GMC Yukon's license plate number (the getaway car was driven by a third person), and police found it belonged to the mother of Joseph Fiel of Gravesend. It's unclear if Fiel was a robber or the getaway driver. Newsday reports that the police "believe the suspects could have been tipped off by contractors who recently did work inside the Sichermans' home that the couple had money," though the robbers may have been drawn to it by its "upscale appearance."

Arrest Made In Brooklyn Home Robbery
Joseph Fiel, 30, was arrested Wednesday and charged with breaking into a Brooklyn home then attacking and
robbing the couple who live there.
Fiel has been charged with robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.
Police say he broke into the couple's boro park home on 54th Street around 9 p.m. Monday.
The couple told police that two masked men broke into their home armed with box cutters. They were then tied up
and robbed of a of cash and jewelry before taking off.
The couple was not injured.

Brooklyn, NY - Good Police Work Leads to Suspect in Borough Park Break-In Horror
Borough Park, Brooklyn, NY - Police are questioning a suspect believed to be one of the two masked burglars who broke into the Boro Park, Brooklyn home of a wealthy couple, tied them up and cleaned them out of more than $200,000 in cash and jewels.
The NYPD were trying to determine if the burglars may have known that real-estate investor Wolf Sicherman, 55, and wife Sarah kept money in a safe in the third-floor bedroom of their Borough Park home.
On Monday night the safe was stuffed with cash because Sicherman was going to purchase a building the following day.
The masked duo, clad in black jumpsuits and armed with boxcutters, entered through a rear window and cut the electricity.
"They were working with small flashlights," said a neighbor and friend of the victims.
Police sources said the burglars encountered Sicherman, owner of nearby Sicherman Management Corp., on the stairwell and ordered him to open the safe.
He was so nervous he couldn't remember the combination, so his wife opened the safe. The couple were then tied with duct tape to a chair in the living room.
Before fleeing, the robbers "thanked the wife for being so nice," said a police source.
A woman chatting with a neighbor on the sidewalk said, "I saw two hooded guys coming out of the house getting into a white car."
Her friend became suspicious and wrote down the license plate of the getaway SUV and called BP Shomrim Patrol the local neighborhood watch group.
A few minutes later, "He [Sicherman] got himself free. She [Sarah] was shaking like a fish," said the witness.
