Satmar Was Well Represented
Rabbi Berish Meisels and Rabbi Moishe Friedman, each of them a known figure in his Satmar community were seen in Crown Heights this week.
Rabbi Berish Meisels, Rov in the Satmar community in Boro Park and brother-in-law of the Satmar Rebbe Reb Aaron from Monroe, was seen Sunday in Crown Heights at the Siyum Sefer Torah in memory of Reb Nosson Gurary OBM.
He warmly received by Rabbi Yochonon Gurary, Chief Rabbi of the Israeli city of Holon and Rabbi Zalman Labkowsky, Rosh Yeshiva of Tomchei Tmimim in 770 Eastern Parkway.
Another known figure in Satmar in the neighborhood was RabbiMoishe Freidman ("Moishe Gabbe"), gabbei of the previous Satmar Rebbe the Beirach Moishe OBM and currently the gabbei of the Satmar Rebbe Reb Zalmen Leib.
Rabbi Friedman came Tuesday to participate in the Perl - Edelman wedding in the Oholei Torah hall.
Later, he was shown the learning Zal by R' Eli Slavin with whom he has an ongoing friendship.
Rabbi Friedman was well received by the Mashpia Rabbi Pinye Korf,Rabbi Nachmen Schapiro and Rabbi Yekusiel Feldman, discussing with them different Chassidic minhagim.
