In answer to the commentaries from Marbel 55 I would like to clarify
First I was quoted saying things that are not correct nor was I asked
I did not speak with Cantor Helfgott concerning the professor and I
never spoke to anyone from the Philharmonic orchestra, and Dr.Sobol
did not get $10.000 in Vienna.
What is true is that I was informed by Dr.Sobol about three weeks before
The 2nd concert of Yuval that he received unsigned letters complaining to Yuval why He is presenting Yaacov Rosenfeld on the program and that some cantor had complained to the Philharmonic Orchestra that Rosenfeld is not fit to appear with them, I was very upset we have been working with
Yaacov for three years all his appearances were successful and his record is selling very well.
Yaacov was invited to perform in Paris past October 23rd with APAC under the patronage of the Unesco with the philharmonic orchestra of Paris and will appear again on the 25th of January 2007 in Paris for a concert at the La Victoire synagogue, he is constantly invited to reappear as he is very popular.
Dr.Sobol spoke with the philharmonic orchestra and tried to calm the situation
and decided to bring in Azi Schwartz in case the orchestra would reject Yaacov
at the last moment.
The strain and stress that Yaacov had to face and endure were terrible and a
miracle that he sang at all.
I find it very disturbing that there are people who try to eliminate that career
of a Cantor.
I manage six cantors and my aim is to prepare the next generation of Cantors
with the help of Dr.Sobol.
Shabbat Shalom
