BS"D Rosh Chodesh Tammuz, Aleph Tammuz 5772 (Wednesday Night, June 20, 2012)

Rabbis and friends,

I just hung up the phone, speaking with the chussen/kallah after the Chuppah.  I received blessings from them, and I also extended blessings to them.  May Hashem help that all the blessings which everyone wishes each other at a time of simcha, tonight, they should be fulfilled and full, and over-full.

At this time, I would like to express my thanks to everyone who took a part in the efforts to help that I should be by the chuppah - entering my youngest daughter to the chuppah, together with my wife, the groisse tzaddeikes.

At this moment, I am b'simcha.  I am so b'simcha, as if I am there.  Because it is after - the chuppah is over, and we are all happy, and I thank Hashem that this is the Will of Hashem.  I have no doubts that if Hashem wanted that I be there, that I would have been there.  And if this is His Will, then we accept it with love.  And how do I know that this is His Will?  Because I wasn't there.

I thank Hashem for every day which has passed.  Today, I am deeply into the 12th year of my being in jail.  As I've said many times, being in jail cannot be explained to anyone who hasn't been here.  I truly feel every day which has passed - thank Hashem for this.  There is no question there will be a time when we'll be so happy for every day having been here.  And I will see with my own eyes how important this was for my Tikkun HaNefesh.  And I've learned, the more one accepts with love these days - yissurim with love is unimaginable the greatness to clean the nefesh.  And there is no greater Tikkun HaNefesh than for those who are in jail.  This is 100 times more powerful than for someone who is in the hospital - though I won't go into explaining further here, as I wish to keep this short.

One thing I have learned over all these years, yet I feel I still need to learn further, there is nothing here in this world except one thing - the Bashefer - Who is controlling everything.  Without Him, there is nothing; without Him, we have nothing, and with Him we have everything.  And Hashem is here with me and everyone here.  And I truly believe that being here and seeing this, that every day mamash can be the yeshia.  And this is the only thing that gives me the strength.  As I said before, every day which has passed, I thank Hashem for the day.  And every day which is over, I feel is another day deposited in the bank.

I sit here by the computer with deep simcha, and I thank Hashem for the great chassudim which He has given us to enter our youngest daughter to the chuppah.  And there are so many chassudim every day for us, it's unimaginable.  As a Baal Simcha, as the gift from Hashem is that we can give blessings, and I cannot be there to give my blessings face to face, shaking hands.  But I am here, and I extend my blessings to everyone who is there by the Chasunah, and for all those people who did anything which they did - from the smallest thing to the biggest.  I admire, along with my wife the tzaddeikes and the entire family.  And we wish everyone a mazel tov, and they should have simchos and nachas from their children and grandchildren.  And they should never know from anything bad.  As I've mentioned before, nothing goes to waste - all hishtadlus and all prayers are very important and have their place, and an account is kept for when Hashem will dispense reward.

I would like to express, when people do hishtadlus, and when we don't see results, the thanks is 100 times more.  As when a person sees that he's achieved his goal, he feels like he's done something.  But by not achieving, he doesn't feel it.  But the thanks are there.  We must remember never to give up, and we cannot give up - as all hishtadlus will have its influence and rewards in the end.

It happened that I saw the following Gemara today, BS"D.  The Gemara says "chayav Adam l'vorach al ha'ra k'shem she'mevorach al ha'tov".  The Gemara asks, what it means by this.  If you wish to say that you have to make the same blessing - "ha'Tov v'ha'Meitiv" - the Gemara says, on bad things you have to say "Dayan Emes" and for good "ha'Tov v'ha'Meitiv".  So if so, then what does it mean when you have to bless Hashem the same for both good and bad?  The Gemara says that a person must accept them both in the same manner - that good and bad are both from Hashem, and everything Hashem does is really for the good.

The Gemara also says, if someone's father was a rich man, and he died - as a result of the death of the father, the son becomes a rich man due to inheritance.  So a person must make 2 blessings - "Dayan Emes" and "ha'Tov v'ha'Meitiv".  So as a result of the bad thing, he got a good thing.

But sometimes, because you have a good thing, as a result of the good thing, you have a bad thing.  Like tonight, we have a great chasunah, but I cannot be there - it might look like not good, chas v'shalom.  But the truth of the matter is that all is good, and we make a "Tov v'Meitiv".  And we thank Hashem.  And as I'm writing here and thinking about all the chassudim which Hashem has done for me and my family, I sit here and my face is full of joy - believe me that I am in joy now.

Again, I close my words with all blessings and thanks for all the efforts that everyone has done.  And we ask now, from now on, we should see "hareini Hashem chasdecha" - we should see with our own eyes the kindness with yeshios un refios for us and all together.  Mazel tov, mazel tov, mazel tov!!!

By the way, we also thank Hashem for the other simcha that we had - for the triplets (boys) born to my daughter.  Hashem should help the father and mother l'hachusam b'briso shel Avraham Avinu, and l'gadlam l'Torah, u'l'chuppah, u'l'maasim tovim.

P.S.  For all past weddings which I've missed, I used to send "drusha ge'shant" (gifts for the chussen/kallah), and I was thinking what I can send here from this place of Olam HaChoshech - what can I send for the chussen/kallah - what gifts can come out from a place like this?  After discussing with my Rebbetzin what gift we can give, we decided to give 10% from the yissurim which we had with my not having the opportunity to be there at the chuppah.  Whoever knows, this is a treasure which is unimaginable the value and quality.  So with this, the same thing tonight - this is the present we give to the chussen/kallah. Hashem should help that it be a Binyan Adei Ad, and we should see nachas from the chussen/kallah, and they should have doros yeshurim i'mevorachim.  And we should zoche zein to see the yeshia fin gantz Klal Yisroel in gichen!

BS"D Yom Aleph d'Rosh Chodesh Tammuz 5772 (June 20, 2012)

Hello Rabbis and friends,

Today is the day.  Zeh ha'yom assah Hashem, nagila v'nismecha bo!  We all thank Hashem for the great gift which He has given us, that we have the merit to bring our youngest daughter to the chuppah.  Although at this moment, we still don't see any light that I should be able to be by the wedding, the Holy Torah teaches us, afila cherev miniach al ha'tzavar, al yishyaeish min ha'Rachamim.  This means, even at the last moment, when we don't have any clue or idea what to do - how this can be done after trying so much, and not feeling what to do - the Torah tells us not to give up.

When the Torah says not to give up, this means to keep your faith, and do what you have to do - all hishtadlus - even when you don't see anything....  And in fact, history has provided many many stories when we see that at the last moment, after we give up, after we lose all hope, great miracles shine forth.  Therefore, on today's date, with faith and trust, I am hoping.  And I encourage everyone who is willing and thinking to do anything - they should take the energy and encouragement to do.  And as always, Hashem shows His chesed and kindness.  At the last moment, we should have the merit to see this also, be"H.

And at this time, I would like to thank everyone for all the efforts and tefillos and thoughts and feelings they have had for me and my family.  Thank you very much.  I appreciate and feel these, and it's important.  And you all will be blessed with all merits and blessings for this alone.  Hashem should help that tonight we should all be happy together and thank Hashem for His chassadim.

Mazel tov!  And we should see besiros tovos and danken un loiben Hashem Yisborach.  Thank you, and a good day!

Please forward this message to anyone who you think may be able to help.  Thank you!
