Smells ''cheesy''
Following a financial dispute with Mr. Menachem Ben dayan, a Polish company has contacted us about
the fabrication of a cheese made in Poland. It is clear our discussions that the product, made in
July 2009, supervised by the Chief Rabbinate of Poland, Rabbi M. Schudrich, with expiry in January
2010, was neither Cholov Yisrael (to with,) nor Kosher for Pessach.
It reappeared with a second label (over the previous one) bearing the name of Rabbi Moshe Alloun,
chalav Israel meha'haliva ad GMAR Assiah, ''special production'' ["milk supervised the milking until the of the processing"] and Kosher lePesach, expiring April 2010.
Rabbi M. Alloun confirmed: "There has been no fraudulent production because th
is has been done with my permission... I put my trust in a RAV, I have the full right and I don't n
eed to answer to anyone whatsoever, and certainly not
to an ignoramus like you. Rabbinical decisions are not lightly taken, based on what is written or not
written on a product or a document; there was big research done to back up these verifications (which
by nature of their complexity, can't be transmitted.'')
For our part, we are neither judges nor prophets; we publish information, with the Kashrus certificate
of Rabbi M. Schudrich, marked not chalav Israel, and a letter him confirming th
at there was no contact between him and anyone in France that would enable the transformation of the milk to "milk supervised the milking process until the of fabrication,'' Kosher le Pesach.
In addition to significant fraud of Mr. Menahem Ben dayan and his company Bueno Vino International,
which adversely affects the producers and tarnishes the image of Jewish trade and the Kashrus
business in general, it seems that the consumer is greatly deceived by these two acters.
We call upon all Rabbis working in Kashrus and community Rabbis, professionals and consumers of
kosher products; to show their disapproval against such practices, or disagreement with respect to our
findings. The complete file and letters cited are published on our website http://www.kacher.fr/
, under "actualités de la cacherouth", or at http://www1.alliancefr.com/~kacher/ActuK.htm#mbd
Let it be clear that we have nothing against Rabbi Moshe Alloun, but we're asking ourselves; by what
criteria can he can transform a milk into "milk supervised the milking" and then affix a Kosher f
or Passover label? His written responses do not allow us to compreh.
Our editorial team is receptive to any comments that would be sent in writing.
To avoid misunderstanding, we do not receive telephone messages.
