18 March 2004. Call to Jihad on Arabic forums last night foreshadows attacks in Iraq. In what has become a recurrent event, self-professed jihadi's last night issued yet another battle cry.

So far this morning, reports from Iraq indicate a car bombing in Basra with multiple casualties, an attack on journalists has left 3 dead and 11 injured, and multiple bombings on US military interests.

What is most concerning is that the celebratory posts that are normally seen on the jihadi boards when the attacks are complete have not yet been posted. This is unusual, and may indicate that attacks on US interests during the day today are not yet complete.

In addition, our analysts have identified postings specifically threatening Israel. Based on an analysis of these postings, the analysts at the Northeast Intelligence Network believe that a homicide bombing, involving either individual bombers or perhaps a car bomb, is imminent for Israel as well. Our analysts project the heightened danger period to be approximately 48 hours for Israel.
