a friend of mine just e-mailed me a story that happened with his neighbor a bobover chusid from ADMOR RM"D SHLITA
this neighbor earns a living as a car service driver, a few months ago he was stuck in traffic ona friday on the way back from a trip to monsey on the Pallisades Parkway
when the traffic cleared he started speeding and to his mazel a cop pulled him over and gave him a whole bunch of tickets for sppeding, reckless driving, changing lanes without signaling etc. etc.
now this yungerman already had a few points on his liscence and these tickets would have cost him his liscense and his job and parnasa
so he tried to push off the case but last week was the latest he could push it off
so he went into the bobover rebbe and told him his problem and wanted that the rebbe should promise him that everything will be okay but the rebbe merely shrugged and said BLINDER the yungerman thought that the rebbe said BLI NEDER so he asked again that the rebbe should promise him that everything will be okay but he again only said BLINDER, the yungerman seeing that pleading wont help he walked out
the date he had to go to court he went all cast down knowing that he is losing his job today he waited a few hours and the police officer who gave him the tickets did not show up
he went and asked a court clerk what happened the clerk answered him "you did not get the message that the case is dismissed the officer did not show up"
he walked out all happy and tried to find out why the officer did not come he asked a friend who works in that police dept. and he answered him that that morning someone had a fight with that officer and sparayed the officer with mace and blinded him and he had to be admitted in to the hospital
now the yungerman understood what the rebbe said BLINDER
