This whole campaign against the Mayor sounds like it's coming from one of his opponents.
1) No one is stopping any religious practices. YES if someone has a problem the Dept. of Health will try to stop that person from practicing that particular religious practice.
2) Regarding Rabbi Fisher until the Dept. of Health does not confirm that there is no problem they will stop him from performing Milah
I know of a big Chasideshe Mohel that does not do Mezizah Bepeh because he has a health issue. What I saw this mohel do was have someone else do Mezizah Bepeh.
I'm sure 1000% if Rabbi Fisher tells the Dept. of Health that this is what he will start doing until they confirm that he poses no risk they will allow him to perform Milah.
Shoemacher hit it on target.
I will explain on a later date why I'm saying that Shoemacher hit it on target and with proof.

Please explain yourself what you mean by אויב דאס אז דער דעה פון פעלדער.
I'm not saying that Rabbi Fisher has a problem Chas Veshalom, All what I'm saying that is there is ways that Rabbi Fisher could proof that he does not have any problems and that this is all made up.
Again I repaet that this issue is not against Mitzvah Milah as a whole Chas Veshalom.

DE KALB RESIDENTS SAY CITY PLAYS DIRTY WITH SIDEWALK-SWEEP TIX

August 8, 2005 -- A citywide sanitation law has residents of one tony Brooklyn street crying foul.
Emily Wasserman, of 151 De Kalb Ave., was shocked to find a pink violation ticket near her front door, charging her $100 for a "dirty sidewalk" a little more than a week ago.
When she received another Wednesday, she hit the roof.
On both occasions, she said, producing photos as confirmation, there were a few leaves and a couple of small slips of paper — the consequence of living on a major local thoroughfare.
Three other tidy houses on the block were also given two violations in little more than a week.
"I think it's just patently unfair, and it's a lot of money," said Wasserman. "Whoever knows me knows I take care of my sidewalk."
"But if he came out here right now, he'd write a ticket," she said of the agent whom she caught giving her the pink slip Wednesday.
"He told me that we are targeted daily between 8 and 9 a.m. and between 12 and 1 p.m. I said, 'We're working people. There's nobody here between 12 and 1!' " In other words, Wasserman could sweep her walk spotless at 9 in the morning and be held responsible three hours later — to the tune of $100 on up to $300 for repeat offenders.
Ironically, the two one-hour slots are the result of a compromise on a bill sponsored by Brooklyn Councilman Simcha Felder, intended to curb around-the-clock ticketing by overzealous sanitation agents.
"It's not fair," said Tamar Abraham, a Felder spokeswoman. "We are aware of the situation, and we are going to be trying to resolve it."
The Department of Sanitation contends that it is just enforcing rules. "It has to be obvious that the sidewalk has not been swept," said spokeswoman Kathy Dawkins.

Kosher Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver in A Chinatown eatery
It was a little odd that the conspicuously Kosher Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver should endorse Freddy Ferrer today in front of a Chinatown eatery that was plastered with little posters of shellfish trumpeting: "Try our Dungeness Crabs and Lobster."
Eating fish without scales is forbidden under Jewish dietary laws, so why did Silver, who lives nearby on the Lower East Side, pick a Mott Street trayf-merchant to hold his announcement?
One backer of Gifford Miller suggested murkily that Ferrer was trying to upstage the City Council speaker, who was going on a long-scheduled walking tour in the neighborhood.
But Ferrer's people said they merely wanted to pay tribute to a neighborhood "where the mayor's hostility and indifference are felt profoundly."
And because they wanted dumplings.
