Police search for bank robber
Police are looking for a man who robbed a First Federal Savings Bank branch in the village of Monroe today.
The robbery occurred at 1:45 p.m. today. Police said a man wearing a blue windbreaker and a cap, possibly with the words "Columbia University" on it, handed a teller a note demanding large bills. No weapon was displayed, and the man fled on foot with an unknown amount of money in $50 and $100 bills, police said.
