URGENT! Preserve Boro Park! Dear Boro Park Yidden:
Why is there no public outcry and why does almost nobody know about this – That NYC plans are underway for converting Montauk jr high located on 16th ave 43 Street into a PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL?
Public high School morning arrival is staggered at 7-8-9-10 AM and Dismissal at 2-3-4-5 PM.
This Will affect hundreds of families livening in the neighborhood and thousands of our children walking to the the many schools and yeshivas located on or the near 15th and 16th avenues besides the terrible pritzus and rowdy and immoral behavior to witness aren't we concerned about their physical safety? These Students will be imported from out of Boro Park and will have to walk through our streets during many hours of the day. Can't you shudder to think what will become of our peaceful neighborhood?
So Please come be heard and voice your opposition on WEDNSDAY Jan. 18 at 7:00 PM at P.S. 180 5601 – 16 Ave Urge everyone you know to come Or Call

My brother who lives in Boro Park shlepped to the hearing last night. There were about only 75 jewish people that I saw that turned up.
WE SHOULD BE ASHAMED
On an issue which affects the whole community, thousands of people should have been there. Young and old, yeshivahs and girl schools.
Where were all the Rebbes, Rabonim and Klal people. The only Rav that I saw was the Desher Rav, Rav Nuchem Meir Paneth.

It's really a Shame that so few people showed up to the hearing....
But it's not too late...........
The local community board will be meeting this coming Tuesday and we can still voice our opinion and demand that they do something about it.
