The NYPD and the mayors office go according to their CRIME STATS (visit the NYPD website) to evaluate precents and crime statistics. If EVERY crime, BIG or small gets reported YOUR LOCAL POLICE precent will react to LOWER their STATS. Be sure to follow up with the 911 operator, because at times the NYPD members will down grade the severity of the crime to keep their STATS down. Keep on calling and reporting.
