I agree, the pictures are very beautiful and no doubt it was a great display.

What bothers me is that somewhere along the way 45 street has lost all sense of proportion and trying to outdo everyone else by putting on a performance that puts all the great Rebbes in the shadow

The reports you're getting are from people that never were by the Maharas"h's tish. But it is true that he can and does copy his father exactly in some things.

If you think the chasuna was a performance because of the silly march at 1:30 in the morning when all of the fremde people had left already, you're kidding yourself.

And if the Maharas"h was not his grandfather what then was he? What do you call you shver's father? I call my shver's and shviger's father Zeide, and so does everybody else I know. Maybe in Eurpoe it's different.
