Speaking about health and exercise let me tell you something about eating in restaurants
*:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
It is well known that, in some way, which Dr. Bilbo will not discuss here, white bread (vs. whole grain) makes your ''system'' hungry and fires up your appetite
In many fancy restaurants, when you sit down before order anything, the waiter gets you a little plate with some kind of bread- more often than not with a dip or a spread
This makes you very hungry- as we said. Then when the waiter comes to take your order you take a potato knish with mushrooms and rice, and vegetable soup with two kneidlech, and a steak, and ranch potatoes, and French fries, and baked beans, and a big ceaser salad, and a schwarma and a baked apple and ice cream and a Snapple and a coke for later
But after you eat the knish and the soup and the steak (and the bread…) - most people are no longer hungry, yet most people ''push it in'' because it is on the table and already billed. Very few people will not eat the ranch potato and the fries and the beans and the salad
And then you ''kill your system'' and you become fat- or fatter, in some cases
So, please ask the waiter to take away the bread and then order anything and order the rest after you ''had something'' already
It makes caloric sense, it will show up on the bill, and even the tip will be smaller, and these are all good things-aren't they
Be well
