NBC, HERO LAST WEEK, GOAT THIS WEEK
OPINION
By Isaac Abraham (UMI)
What goes around comes around, it was only last week that NBC president Steve Capus made a decision to remove Don Imus from its show for using the 'HO" word against the Rutgers women's basketball team.
NBC defended its action to most of the country for the removal of Imus under the pressure of the 2 race hustlers Revs. Sharpton and Jackson, who in the past have made racist remarks against the Jewish people, most people in the Jewish community and never even apoligised, felt that it was a double standard the way NBC handled the issue and buckling under pressure, sponsors pulled the ads of the show to score points with the two hustlers.
Mr. Capus was all over the news trying to show how much class and respect NBC has for the African American community and that it will no longer tolerate any insults, abuse or racial remarks made by anyone. A suspension for Imus got off the table very quickly. Lets make it very clear the Rutgers players are all alive and Imus mistake was 3 words.
Now, here come NBC showing a package of the ''CHO'' the killer of the Virginia Tech students that was sent to them over and over and over again, hurting the families of the ones that were killed, the student that were shot and the rest of the nation, to the point that NBC was asked to leave the campus and go home and also the rest of the media was asked to leave because of NBC
If NBC fired Imus for using the word "HO", what should we do with NBC for showing so many times the Video of "CHO"? Stop watching NBC, fire Mr. Capus and have the sponsors pull the ads from NBC.
Mr. Capus, now all of a sudden sits in the same chair as Imus sat last week desperately trying to respond to all the criticism that's coming from all over the country, maybe its time has come "what's good for the goose, is for the G------,
Remove Mr. Capus.
Since I was offended, let Mr. Capus go on Sharptons Radio show and apologize to the families of those killed in Virginia Tech Collage, to the student still alive, all the students and the rest of the Nation.
The Virginia Tech students, dead and alive, and their families who were offended deserve the same respect and actions as the students of Rutgers.
