 With the massive earthquake in Japan, all of Klal Yisroel is wondering how it has affected our dear brothers in prison over there. R’ Aron Nezri, and R’ Meilech Bindinger, the main askanim in the case, have been in constant contact to make sure everything is okay.
R’ Aron reports to Matzav.com: “We have been, and continue to be in constant contact with those in Japan. The Chiba detention center has not been affected at all. Even if water does come off of the shores of Chiba, it will not hit the district, as it is high up on a hill. I have had someone go a number of times already to the prison to make sure the boys are ok and he will continue to go over the next few days to check on the boys as well.” Rabbi Binyomin Edery, the local Chabad shliach, who often visits the boys, related, “Today we had a major earthquake, but thank G-d we are all fine. All the houses and buildings literally swung, trains are not operating, highways have been closed and phone lines down. There hasn’t been such a strong earthquake in the Tokyo area for at least 70 years. This is a very strong tsunami.” He added: “One of the signs of the geulah is that the earth will shake and get worn out like a garment. We hope and pray that G-d will continue to protect Japan and all the people that no harm will befall anybody. Thank you to all those who called, emailed or prayed for us. May Hashem give you only good tidings.”
Bochrim In Japan Not Affected By Horrific Quake & Tsunami (Friday, March 11th, 2011)  These days, when we hear about an earthquake in Japan- all of Klal Yisroel are wondering - has this affected the two Yeshiva Bochrim in prison over there at all?

| | שעות לאחר ששקעה השמש, התקבצו אלפי חסידים ובחורי ישיבות מסביב לבניין רחמסטריווקא בשכונת גוש 80 בירושלים.
האדמו"ר שעורך מידי שנה טיש 'משתה היין', מצליח לקבץ לבית מדרשו אלפים רבים שבאים לשמוע את דברות קודשו, וללגום עוד מעט יין לפני שנחתם הגולל על אירועי הפורים. רבים מהמשתתפים נאלצו לצפות במתרחש באמצעות מסכי ענק שהוצבו מחוץ לאולם הגדול, זאת בשל הצפיפות הגדולה בבית המדרש.
לאחר חצות הלילה, החל האדמו"ר לשאת מדברותיו בענייני דיומא. לאחר כמה חידושים על ענייני המגילה, עבר האדמו"ר לנושאים אקטואליים בהרבה.
"הקדוש ברוך הוא מנחית על היפנים מכה אחר מכה. אבל הם כמו מצרים ופרעה. הם לא מבינים שזה קשור לזה שהם מחזיקים את עצורי יפן על לא עוול בכפם. הם חושבים שהבחורים ידעו מה זה סמים, אבל מאיפה בחור חסידי יודע מה זה? רק הגויים יודעים מה זה סמים. במקום להודות בטעות שלהם הם ממשיכים להחזיק אותם, ועל זה הם נענשים.
בהמשך זעק האדמו"ר את שמות העצורים, וביקש מהקהל לענות אמן על הברכה לשחרורם.
בהמשך הטיש, כטוב לב האדמו"ר ביין, נשאלו המשתתפים: "אתם רוצים שהמשיח יבוא?", ההמונים זעקו: "כן!". והאדמו"ר זעק: "ריבונו של עולם אתה רואה, היהודים רוצים שהמשיח יגיע. כולם מחכים ומוכנים לקבל אותו. תשלח אותו במהרה".
לסיום נגע האדמו"ר במצוקת הדיור של הציבור החרדי, והבטיח למשתתפים כי עד שנה הבאה, מחיר דירה לא יעלה על 5000 ₪.
ושוב, זעקות אמן החרידו את שכונת גוש 80 בירושלים.

"הרגשתי כמו יונה באוניה", מתאר יוסף, "בית הכלא רעד במשך שעה ארוכה והיטלטל כמו אניה בסערה", סיפר לעסקנים האמריקנים שהגיעו היום לטוקיו שם נערך שלב הסיכומים בנושא הערך המשפטי של הפוליגראף שנערך.
העסקנים האמריקניים ר' אהרון ניזרי ור' אלימלך בינדיגר הגיעו היום לטוקיו לרגל הדיון שהתקיים בבית המשפט בעניין הפוליגראף. מועד השלב הסופי במשפטו של יוסף יעקב נקבע ל16 במאי. בתום הדיונים בבית המשפט נפגשו האבא והעסקנים עם הצעיר. ר' אהרון ניזרי סיפר כי הפגישה ארכה כעשרים דקות, מקסימום הזמן המתאפשר בבית סוהר זה.
יוסף היה במצב רוח מרומם ותיאר בהתרגשות את השעתיים המפחידות שעברו עליו ביום שישי, בו התרחשה רעידת האדמה. הוא יוסף הוסיף ואמר כי הגמרא במסכת ברכות דף נ"ט אומרת שכאשר ילדי ישראל נמצאים בשבי הקב"ה מוריד שתי דמעות שנושרות לתוך האוקיינוס. "זו הסיבה לרעידת האדמה", אמר הצעיר.
לאחר מכן נפגשו העסקנים עם הבחור יואל זאב שסיפר אף הוא את שעבר עליו בעת רעידת האדמה. יואל זאב אמר כי השנה הוא שלח משלוח מנות לקב"ה, בדמות דמעות, "בקשתי מהקב"ה שיחזיר לי משלוח מנות, את משיח צדקנו". | | [email protected] | |

New York - The Japan Song, an all star video to benefit the two bochurim that are still serving time in a Japanese prison, as was first reported exclusively on VIN News, is being released today with the hopes that it will raise both funds and awareness for the two incarcerated boys. The seven minute long video, featuring superstars Shloime Daskal and Avraham Fried was produced by Danny Finkelman, contains sweeping footage of Japan and the Chiba Detention Center, filmed just two and a half weeks before the devastating earthquake and tsunami struck Japan. The song, with lyrics in both English and Yiddish, is a remake of the Dveykus classic In A Vinkele, later re-recorded by Yaakov Shwekey, relates the plight of Yoel Zev Goldberg and Yaakov Yosef Greenwald, who are being held in a Japanese prison almost three years after suitcases that they were carrying for someone else were found to contain drugs. In an interview with VIN News, producer Danny Finkelman admitted to being deeply moved by the time he spent both at the prison and with the two bochurim. ''I personally witnessed the conditions that these boys live under every single day. Aside from remembering these boys in our tefillos, it is important that everyone participate in the Pidyon Shevuyim campaign so that these boys can be reunited with their families.'' השיר עצמו הינו ביצוע מחודש לשיר 'אווינקלע' שהופק לראשונה ב'דביקות 2' ובוצע מאז בוויראציות שונות, כמו גם בשיר 'טאטא' של יעקב שוואקי.
את הקליפ ביים דני פינקלמן, כשאהרון טייטלבוים - איש הייטק שעוסק גם במוסיקה יהודית, פרש את חסותו על ההפקה כולה. לצורך ההפקה נשכרו שירותי חבורת מקצועיות מהטובות בעולם כמו De Grupo Films.

Rabbi: Tsunami result of haredi arrests Leader of Rachmastrivka Hasidic dynasty says Japan punished for imprisonment of two yeshiva students convicted of drug smuggling Ynet | | Rabbi David Twersky, leader of the Rachmastrivka Hasidic dynasty, says the recent tsunami in Japan, which has left thousands of people dead, was the result of the arrest of two yeshiva students by Japanese authorities after being convicted of smuggling drugs.
"The Japanese don’t understand why they keep on receiving blow after blow, and it never ends. If they want it to stop, they must release the two guys jailed in their prison immediately, and then experience salvation," the rabbi told his followers last week during a Purim celebration in Jerusalem.
Haredi website Ladaat reported that the Rebbe asked for the names of the two jailed men and said a prayer for their immediate release. "Amen," the audience responded.

The yeshiva students were arrested in an airport in Japan in April 2008, in possession of a suitcase with some 90,000 Ecstasy tablets. The detainees' lawyers claimed at the time that the young men were victims of a 'sting' and were tempted with money, but the two were convicted the following year.
One of the detainees, a minor, was sentenced to eight years in prison, and Israel submitted a request to have him transferred back to the country
The Rachmastrivka Hasidic dynasty is one of the biggest and most famous Hasidisms, with thousands of followers and many affiliates. It has two centers – one in Jerusalem and one in Borough Park, New York Ahead of the Hasidic celebration last week, huge screens were placed near the Torah study house in Jerusalem, and the tish was broadcast live due to the density inside the building. . |
