The new Nissans will eventually replace the 16 models currently in use in the city, including the Crown Victoria, which is being discontinued.
In 2017, the NV 200s will also be manufactured to be fully-electrically powered.
The city will put a half-dozen of Nissan's electrically-powered vehicles to the test this year.
