It looks like a pretty informative site Also - on the top right there is a button "Jewish Diabetes Forum" - I'm not a member, but that's what you're looking for I guess!.

I AM HERE AND I STILL THINK WE SHOULD ALL STICK TO THE NATIVE HEBREW, I HAVE NO IDEA WHY I FEEL SO, BUT THATS MY TAKE ON THIS ISSUE.

I personally donot mind hebrew although i prefer english but maybe there are people that cannnot communicate in hebrew and live here. Although there are jewish english sites for diabetes each country has it's own issues so at least we can a thread to bring up issues in our mother tonuge

if you're thirsty enough...you will. We did that a few years back and it wasn't nearly as badd as we thought it would be. by now we all drink water including the little ones and everyone's happy with it

Why is drinking water such an issue

I grew up only drinking water and we only have juice at the table on Shabbos

I don't think it's terribly difficult to get used to - but my husband doesn't agree and only drinks petel

....?

see...it could be a major issue.
nothing like a serious scare to quit bad habits. when my son became diabetic we siezed the moment to throw out the sweet drinks. not that I wish anyone something like that, of course.
