I don't know if it will make you feel better, but this is what I dealt with: last evening before supper my son looked a bit funny-48. before bed he was fine-127. this morning-315!! probably rebound effect from the hypo, it must have been worse than I thought. my son is a strong kid and hr never thinks to tell me if he feels bad, he figures I know already. well i don't always know! and of course I'm the one left feeling guilty... this is life with type 1 diabetes .in a way you're lucky! ..

doark - yes - all over the place. i don't take medication for my diabetes, and therefore for some one who's only doing diet and exercise, when the numbers get high, it gets scary
this morning was better though - 110 b"h

i don't think my numbers get so low when i get hypo, i think around 70-80, but by then i'm really feeling awful. must be scary when your son's numbers get so high! and low! wow - i don't know how you're supposed ot be able to try and calculate the insulin when the values are so unpredictable.

I hit 290 on shabbat it must have been that stupid icecream store that just openned next to us !!!!

LOL - People are so insensitive. They should ask the neighbors before opening an ice cream store, or pizza and felafel shop.....
My sugar is 107 this morning - B"H!

I give my son sherbet ice cream before he goes to shul-it's a good 20 minute walk there, and I also count on him to play outside a little. it works fine for him so far and he never got high from that. what I mean to say is, icecream isn't so terrible and maybe you can work it into your day somehow.

i would guess the high fat content in ice cream would prevent it from breaking down so quickly

I try to stay away from icecream like fire !!!!!
with all these icecream and frozen youghurt places sprouting out in the neigbourhood it is a little difficult

Polish Divorce

The truck is set up to fire Kasem rockets and then drive off innocently.
The note pasted on the driver's door says - "In case of traffic violations, please contact The Palestinian Authority.''
The Israelis have evidence of ambulances and emergency vehicles set up the same way.

Two attorneys went into a diner and ordered two drinks. Then they produced sandwiches from their briefcases and started to eat.
The owner became quite concerned and marched over and told them, "You can't eat your own sandwiches in here!"

I would like to understand one thing how are all these comments and jokes connected to diabetes
donot get me wrong these are very interesting topics and jokes but i would prefer that we focus on diabetes especially articles that are in english
