נשמע מעניין!! אני מקווה שזה הולך להיות בסגנון הווקאלי המתקדם יותר כמו א.ק.א פלא וכד' ואם הוא עובד על זה כמה שנים אז יכול להיות שיהיו שם סולנים מהעבר. אם כן, זה יהיה פשוט ענק! (יהיה נחמד לשמוע שוב את הקולות של תני מרטין, איצי גבירץ... ואת יעקב מרדכי בקול ילדותי יותר. הלוואי.)

In light of the exciting announcement today on Facebook, JMR caught up with Eli Gerstner today for a few minutes to find out more information about his upcoming YBC a capella album, due out in time for Pesach and Sefira.
JMR: How many songs will be featured on the new album?
Eli Gerstner: 10
JMR: How many of those songs are brand new and how many are songs that have been used by other EG artists?
EG: 3 brand new songs, a few that most people would recognize and a few that no YBC fan would have heard before!
JMR: Will the new album feature the whole choir or a smaller group of boys?
EG: Yes (& how!!)
JMR: How long has this album been in the works?
EG: Whenever I have had a free moment I worked on it for the past 8 years! But the main recording was done this past few months.

Eli Gerstner announced on Facebook just 1 hour ago that YBC will be releasing a NEW album! YBC
ACAPPELLA!! That's right Eli and YBC will be stepping into the acappella arena to make their mark. The album will iy''H be released just in time for Pesach/sefira!! The album will not feature YBC hits from past albums, but NEW songs and Eli's songs which were recorded by other EG artists that YBC fans have never heard in this way. Keep in mind that the last Eli Gerstner Acappella album ''the Chevra Acappella album'' is still the #1 selling Jewish acappella album after 9 years. More info to follow in the coming days!
עם כל הכבוד, האקפלה הקודם (של החבר'ה) ממש לא היה כזה מיוחד. ז"א, הוא היה יפה, אבל גם הוא נפל בפח של "כולם נושמים באותה שניה". נקווה שהפעם, עם קצת יותר מ4 משתתפים, זה אכן יהיה מוצלח יותר - ויוכיחו המכביטס שאפשר. בכל אופן, שירים חדשים זה תמיד טוב... :-)

YBC A Capella: Coming Pesach
Eli Gerstner is about to release an all new YBC album, but this time with a nice twist: Its Acapella . TheCoolJew.com spoke with Eli about this upcoming project and he told us that, "Ever since the release of the Chevra Acapella album, which did extremely well, I wanted to do the same for YBC." "The question" Eli told us was, "when". The album which will feature 10 songs, seven old and three new. Yaakov Mordechai Gerstner will be making his last album appearance until he is older (however he will still be on stage a bit longer). The album will feature the entire choir and will really be great. Eli told us that he will not be overdoing the "music" element as perhaps some other sefirah albums have tinged upon, because he wants this album to be "kosher" in all homes. However, he insures us, that the production value will nonetheless still be amazing! The entire YBC crew are very excited about this album which will be in stores around Pesach time I"YH.

כצפוי,אלי בעל רגש ושמירה על צביון יהודי אמיתי לא משקר ועושה דיסק עם מוזיקה ומאבד את כל המשמעות של אי שמיעת מוזיקה, אלא שומר ועושה נכונה (אגב גם עם זה יש בעיה לשמוע בספירת העומר והרב שאני שאלתי אמר שאסור מעיקר הדין, יש היתרים כמדומה לי אבל זה בעייתי. הייתי אומר לכם לברר על זאת) כל הכבוד!

As Previously Reported HERE, the Yeshiva Boys Choir crew have been hard at work on an A Capllea album which was supposed to be in stores already. Today Eli Gerstner gave the following update to TheCoolJew regarding the album: As we are finishing this album, new ideas keep coming up b"H. We want this album to keep to the "sefira" feel, but not to be sleepy either. B"H I can't wait to release it, I'm so excited about it! But its going to take a little more time."
