Hi, was great watching the sukkos concert clip (yesterday- for the first time)!
I'm so grateful to elimonsey for taking the video and for agreeing to give it out!
Hope I'm not too late to add my share:
I was very impressed with Miami mizrach's performance which has improved greatly! The kids were so confident and they have some talented soloists. However, I would rather name them ''pirchei mizrach'' or something like that as I find their style and accent so different to miami's.
The first two songs sung by one of the Miami mizrach's soloists were fine, I especially liked the song ''arim roshi''. As to the second song he sang… well… I didn't see it necessary to give him two songs.
The song lo yanum is gorgeous and I really liked their version of ''veniye''. I also liked menachem klein's input to the choir – his nice voice blends beautifully with his choir! In one of their Hebrew songs the harmonies went flat as the boys were struggling with the high pitch. But other than that I can say that menachem klein is doing a good job!
As to the''real'' Miami – The actual choir didn't sound brilliant, but the performance was good. I really liked the new song ''hakhel'' it has a good beat and beautiful harmonies… both choirs sang very nicely 'lo yisa goy' but when yerachmiel sang (?) It sounded as if a real war broke out… D. Charendoff was really missed – (did he leave?)
M.m. Goldman was amazing he was doing 'shtiks' with his mike all the time and his voice hasn't changed completely yet.
R. Ayal was rocking!!! It seems like he really enjoys being on stage. He managed to spin and 'shtick' about while singing on tune (he sings nicer than I always thought). I wonder if Miami ever had such a good dancer in the past…
Ch. Abramowitz sang so hartzig and serious – he was so absorbed in his singing that he probably forgot he's on stage…. Chiya – will we ever merit seeing what your smile looks like?
R.T. Asiss sang beautifully as usual and his stage performance has improved. By his solo in'kadshenu' he always sings bishuatecha instead of bishuasecho.... rachamim tell us why?
M. herskowitz was great as expected from a herskowitz boy – he has a gorgeous voice and doesn't seem to forget the audience for a second. He needs to relax his muscles though – max, it's only a concert – don't be so tense… and as well…a low carbs diet will work wonders for you...and… one more thing – why don't you take out your iphone from your pocket before you walk on stage (not the first time i notice that).
D. Pearlstein – Yerachmiel's angel didn't disappoint him… he was springing about very sweetly and inspired everyone with the song ''modim'' he literally cried although the words weren't so 'heart-breaking'….. when it came to the ending of this song I was laughing as he held his hand up (just like yerachmiel probably told him by the rehearsals…) even though he didn't manage to stretch that long…it looked rather daft… otherwise he was literally the highlight of the choir . In ''when the siyum calls He sang ravina's low parts and his voice sounded very nice low!
Y. Brandis got quite a few solos. He would do a good soloist in ybc with his high pitch voice.
appologies for posting in english - dont have hebrew on this computer.
