:Overall thoughts
I’ve been to the pesach concert, and although it was great, I still find, watching Eli’s sukkos concert clips, that in the sukkos concert there was a much better choice of soloists and it wasn’t just ’A Dovid Pearlman concert’.
Rachamim Tuvia Assis was sorely missed in this concert and even the Moshe and Yehoshua Brothers that I just about started getting used to, suddenly disappeared somehow. As to the new members of the choir, someone has to tell them not to glue their mikes to their mouth coz the ...sound of the choir the way it is awful with a few high pitched voices constantly resounding
!The alumni choir did an outstanding job
:Alumni
!!Shaul Elson has still got a great voice – clear, soft, yet powerful and brimming with emotion
!Yoshi Bender as energetic as ever, possesses some dancing skills
Zalman Pollack livened up quite a bit since he was a choir member. Well, he’s one example of Yerachmiel’s ‘picks and favors’ – I mean, Yerachmiel gave him 3 solos in just one medley, with all due respect to his good singing and all.
Isaac Ben Yishai Somehow, I always used to smile while watching his expressive singing, and I still do, can anyone explain to me why? And may I dare say that he sang the low part of ‘Stand Up’ way better than Yerachmiel?
Jordan Odinsky good old cute Jordan! His voice and singing are very pleasant! And I was very !!touched by his duet with Dovid Pearlman – good match
Who is the soloist that came out (I think together with Yizchack Friedman) after Jordan’s duet ?with Dovid? He was rather hyper… but his singing was good. Maybe it was Gershi Adler
MBC Soloists:
Max possesses the all known ‘Herskowitz charisma’. With a voice (voice only! Not singing) so similar to Jeremy (the quivers…) and David’s singing style and yet has his own unique ‘max’ way of doing it... He sang beautifully ‘mi adir’ at the solo medley, though I didn’t like his version of an abrupt stop at the words ‘hu yevoreich. Es…..’ at the rest of the song he did an awesome job!!
Chiya so serious about it all, has a great voice and his singing is sometimes amazing but oftentimes not so good, I personally think that he has the ability but doesn’t make too much of an effort to impress. In the solo medley for example, I really didn’t like his twisting in the words ‘veaf al pi veaf aaal pi… im kol ze achakeee lo’ it was too high for him and too much to repeat 3 times, however, the low part was good.....
Dovid Yerachmiel’s pet is doing well with his ever growing confidence, charming voice and accurate singing.
Rachamim carries very well a tune and sings in a very calm manner. Please wear a plain black yarmulke next timeJ
Some suggestions to Yerachmiel: Try to get hold of David Charendoff again and drag him back to the choir – he’ll add a lot to the atmosphere!
Another Ayal boy is also an idea.
Don’t you dare let go of the Alumni, extending it won’t harm though
Please don't get old, i love your tricks while introducing the boys and i loved watching you dance in order to signal to the boys to finish the song at 'Besiyata Dishmaya'... so...just keep doing what you always did in that special way you do it...
I apologize again for posting in english as i dont have hebrew on this computer and i''m grateful to Eli for the clips!.
