SURGEONS FACE HEARING

Two surgeons cleared of killing a patient whose only healthy kidney was wrongly removed are facing serious professional misconduct charges.
Consultant urologist John Gethin Roberts and his colleague Mahesh Goel are due before the General Medical Council's disciplinary committee in London.


Graham Reeves, 70, died in March 2000, five weeks after an operation during which his good left kidney was taken out instead of his chronically diseased right one.
